Boekhandel Selexyz Dominicanen

without comments

The Boekhandel Selexyz Dominicanen in Maastricht is a bookstore built in a one-time Dominican church, celebrating a time when most of the knowledge preserved in books was not of a secular nature.  Times have changed, religions have swelled and contracted, yet this church still stands thanks to Merkx and Girod Architects.

Clutch Chair

without comments

Designed by Scott Jarvie, and made from 10,000 drinking straws, the Clutch Chair is an exploratory research piece that passes comment on our disposable culture. This piece was selected by Zaha Hadid as her Curators Choice at Noise Festival 2008
